To perform home inspections in the State of Alabama, a
person MUST be licensed by the Alabama Building Commission.
This requires that the inspector pass a test, pay an annual
license fee and carry Errors & Ommission (E&O)
Insurance. There are illegal inspectors out there. Unlicensed
inspectors may come cheap, but be careful, you have no
recourse.
